Born Jan. 22, 1935, in Napoopoo, he was a retired heavy equipment operator, member of Operating Engineers Union Local 3, a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran and an Army National Guardsman. Donna Young Keefer, 65, of Pahoa died April 13 at her residence. Born Oct. 3, 1949, in Seattle, she was a recording studio manager for Sea-West Hawaii Recording Studio and a member of the American Boxer Association. Haruo Kitamura, 85, of Hilo died March 29 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Jan. 3, 1930, in Hilo, he was employed by the state of Hawaii as an office clerk at the Hilo Hospital, was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Piihonua Kumiai. Private services held. William “Bill” Burton Miller, 48, of Kailua-Kona died April 14.
